How to Win the Challenge?
Firms win when they reach 100% participation, meaning every UCLA Law alumnus at your firm has made a gift of any amount during the challenge, and earns Gold Star Status. Gold Star Status is reached when all UCLA Law alumni partners make a leadership gift of $1,000 or more.
What Counts Towards Participation?
Any gift made to the law school from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 counts towards this year's challenge. This includes payments on a pledge or the establishment of a pledge. Gifts must be received by 11:59 p.m. on June 30th to be counted.
Competition Categories
Firms compete in three tiers based on the number of alumni employees:
- Tier 1: 30 or more alumni
- Tier 2: 11-29 alumni
- Tier 3: 2-10 alumni

Find Your Employer’s Matching Gift Program
Many companies will match charitable gifts made by their employees and retirees. Search below to see if your employer participates.
If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to the University of California, Los Angeles, may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. If you don’t see your company listed above, please check with your HR department to confirm whether they offer a matching gift program.
